Water World: A social history of the Common's Lakes, Ponds and Puddles

  • The Friends of Wandsworth Common Wandsworth Common West Side London, England, SW18 2ED United Kingdom (map)

Join local historian and Friend Philip Boys to find out what makes the Common so wet and the history of the Common’s main water features: Three Island pond - probably the oldest heritage feature on the Common; the main lake - a relative newcomer built by public subscription in the 1870s; and the beautiful Black Sea, sadly now buried under Spencer Park.

Bound to be fascinating. A recording will be available after the event
